Wicked Health

Health content is always something that needs to be taken seriously.

It’s impossible to overstate the importance of your health. Nevertheless, until we’re faced with serious illness so many of us do. And I firmly believe that part of the reason for this is because of a lack of understanding when it comes to our bodies and our wellbeing, and how we can best optimise our health.

How healthcare brands talk to people is the key to unlocking this understanding, and to helping them take control of their health. Whether its just general preventative guidance, instructions for screening and tests, or reassuring content about treatment and care, the format, the words and the tone of voice are essential for creating the human connection that makes your content make a difference. I help healthcare organisations like yours speak to your audience using content, communications and campaigns that resonate, reassure and inspire reactions that empower people to prioritise their health.

And I don’t just work on B2P content either. Every organisation in healthcare should have one goal - to make a positive difference to people’s lives. I help bring B2B healthcare brands together through their content and communications, so that by combining their products, services and expertise, they can achieve this mission. I’m particularly experienced in working with health tech brands, helping them to demonstrate how developing technologies continue to help advance diagnosis, management and treatment of different diseases - a real game-changer for the future.

After almost a decade specialising in health content, I understand how crucial it is to get your message right.

  • Many businesses know that they need to start creating regular content, but have no idea what to do next. A content strategy grows your authority and your audience and aligns with your business goals.

Key elements of a great content strategy include establishing:

    • Your audiences

    • The best platforms to reach them through (website, blogs, social media etc)

    • The type of content that they will find valuable

    • Creating messaging pillars that align with your business values and priorities.

I help healthcare businesses and organisations build or revise their content strategies so that they are delivering the right content, to the right audience, in the right way and at the right time.

  • Website content

Every business needs an online presence, but you need yours to stand out from the crowd. Your website tells your customers who you are, what you have to offer and what makes you different to your competitors.

I help businesses to create engaging website content that tells their story and showcases their products or services, while consistently conveying their brand identity.

    Blogs

Blogs gives you a chance to showcase in-depth knowledge that goes beyond your website copy, enabling your audience to identify you as an authority in your industry. Blogging also creates trust, drives engagement and helps you to build a relationship with your audience. We support businesses to create entertaining and/or informative, shareable blogs that get them noticed and respected.

    Ad-hoc content

Need words for something else? No problem. Projects I’ve worked on include:

    • Press releases

    • Training materials

    • E-learning modules

    • Method statements

    • Brochures and leaflets

    • Emails

    • Ebooks

    • Radio advertising scripts

    • Value propositions

    • Product descriptions

    • Thought leadership articles

    • Case studies

    • Whitepapers

  • Do you want someone to write blogs or Ebooks for your business, but you don’t want everyone to know that you aren’t doing it yourself?

There are many reasons why organisations or individuals hire ghostwriters. In most instances it comes down to not having the time to produce your own content. Alternatively, you may not like writing, or feel that it’s not one of your strengths.

Whatever the reason you want to outsource your content, I can write what you need on your behalf and you and your business can take the credit.

  • Your social media presence is an extension of your brand identity and is one of the most effective ways of keeping your business relevant and visible. It also gives you a chance to interact directly with your audience and builds relationships with them.

I work with you to produce social media content that is engaging, informative or fun and encourages sharing, getting more eyes on your products/services.

Please note that I provide only the words for social media posts. If you are looking for social media management (scheduling, analytics, interactions etc) I would be happy to refer you to a social media management contact in my network.

“Working with Dee was everything I hoped for. She's a great copywriter who knows how to put herself in the reader's shoes and effortlessly turns really complex ideas into very easily understandable copy. She also doesn't shy away from doing her own thorough research to add additional value to the pieces she creates. Her talent is matched with her professionalism–Dee is extremely responsive and open to feedback, making her customers feel safe that their work is in good hands. Thanks Dee for your amazing work!”
- Ala Ho (&Human)

“I commissioned Dee to write all of the website copy for our new website – ensuring it reflected our tone of voice, our brand positioning and was SEO copy. Dee immediately grasped our organisation and our objectives from the brief and delivered on time and to budget with copy that hit the nail on the head!

Dee also wrote our fundraising pack for us and again hit the nail in terms of brief and again delivered on time and to budget. The quality of the content produced and the style was spot on – I have no doubt that this will significantly help encourage supporters to fundraise for us and help increase income.

Dee was an absolute pleasure to work with – responsive, positive, extremely knowledgeable and most importantly delivered the exact type of copywriting we needed. I would definitely use Dee again for any copywriting we needed. She has the ability to clearly understand a brief, an organisation’s tone of voice and requirements but also has the medical knowledge required and the ability to then translate this into layman’s terms for the audience”.

- Caroline Lane (The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation)

“We required a brochure for our patient transport service and Dee kindly agreed to copywrite for us. Dee is extremely knowledgeable and can take a service she doesn’t know, learn about it and then put pen to paper to deliver an outstanding piece of work. Dee is always on the prowl for information to ensure what she delivers is on point and that you are happy with what she’s written. No job is too big or small for Dee, she’s there to work with you, and amendments, discussions and suggestions aren’t an issue. Getting it right is her priority and she will go above and beyond to achieve the best for you.”
